Zadaan Caihuari is a dedicated researcher and field guide with the science and conservation program at Tambopata Research Center, where he actively contributes to the Tambopata Macaw Project. His professional journey began as an Official Tourism Guide in 2018, specializing in observing Amazonian wildlife and flora, with a particular focus on species like the jaguar, macaw, harpy eagle, and spider monkey. His deep understanding of the ecosystem led him to work in key locations like Collpa Colorado, where he refined his skills in wildlife observation and behavior interpretation. Since 2023, Zadaan has served as a researcher at the center, focusing on bioacoustics and animal communication, particularly within the Tambopata Macaw Project. In this role, he contributes to monitoring and conserving macaws, helping to protect their habitats and support their population growth in the region. His proficiency in English and Portuguese, combined with his skills in tree climbing and his extensive knowledge of birds and plants, has made him an invaluable member of the research team, facilitating both fieldwork and collaboration with international scientists.
