Adopt a Artificial Macaw Nest

Be part of the macaw conservation in Tambopata by adopting an artificial nest

what is an artificial nests

The artificial nests developed by the Tambopata Macaw Project have been improved over the years. Currently the materials, design, durability and adaptability to the environment have been improved to make them as similar as possible to natural nests. Thanks to the effort and research of the entire Tambopata Macaw Project team we have been able to develop this unique design that has shown positive results in the short and medium term, but we need support to continue contributing to the conservation of the majestic macaws.

why adopt an artificial macaw nest?

Deep in the Amazon rainforest, macaws paint the skies with their vibrant colors and unmistakable calls, a living testament to nature's beauty. Yet, these majestic birds face growing threats as their habitats are lost to human activities. The towering trees that once provided safe nesting grounds are disappearing, leaving macaws without a place to raise their young. This is where you can make a difference.

Adopting an artificial nest is more than a gesture of conservation; it’s a chance to be part of a story of resilience and hope. Each nest, carefully crafted to replicate natural conditions, becomes a safe haven for macaws and their chicks. It’s a tangible step toward preserving their species—a symbol that, together, with innovation and dedication, we can ensure these ambassadors of the rainforest continue to grace our skies.
