Discovered by Natalia Belyi, Andrei Belyi and Matilde Ramirez
In July 2023, our family visited the beautiful reserve of Tambopata and stayed at the wonderful Posada Amazonas hotel. Our daughter,
Natalya Belyi, showed curiosity and interest in the scientific activity organized by the hotel, “Wired Amazon – discovering new species”, and
we participated in a great expedition during the pitch black night of the jungle to help collect potentially new Amazonian moth species.
We are enormously happy to have contributed to a real new discovery and feel proud to have our family name attached to it. We absolutely
fell in love with the amazing biodiversity in Tambopata and the care and dedication from the Rainforest team and the neighbouring
communities´contribution. Thank you for such rewarding opportunity!!
